What is the meaning and benefits of sales & marketing?

Is it the only prerequisite for good company to have a great product? The response is no for most businesses. What is the reason? Since revenue generation needs potential buyers to understand the nature of a product, how and why it's better than the offer of a competitor.

It is the duty of the marketing and sales teams to convey this knowledge. Usually, at the start of a possible sale, marketing has a dominant position. A marketing team may for instance, create a new radio campaign to promote product launch awareness. A sales team aims to conclude an agreement by directly engaging with and discussing their concerns.

Collaboration is another benefit of the sales and marketing departments. Good information and concept sharing between teams will boost performance and create a seamless experience for prospective customers rather than being run as separate units.

Just follow up. Follow up. The lead created by a marketing department is followed up by a major sales feature. Effective companies typically create a formal handoff process so that a sales team member can follow up each marketing trained lead adequately and efficiently.

Creation of relationships. The "hard-selling" age is still fading. Modern sales rely on the development of relationships to create trust between the customer and the salesman. Effective sales people should recognize the customer's needs and create a compelling, but not a pushy, message to help identify the product of the business.

Closing. - Closing. The potential of most salespersons to turn the lead into clients is judged. While some may intend to meet and shake hands at the end of a deal, several companies often close online or by telephone. This will raise the duties of closing a sale to more workers.
